1) Flour – 1 cup

2) Oil – 3 tablespoons

3) Curd – ½ cup (should not be sour)

4) Sugar – ½ cup

5) Raisins (Kismis) – 20 grams

6) Vanilla essence – 7 to 8 drops

7) Milk powder or condensed milk – ½ cup

8) Normal milk – ½  cup

9) Baking powder – ½ teaspoon

10) Baking soda – 1/4th  teaspoon

How to Prepare Simple Eggless Cake – The Procedure

  • The description here is that of the recipe of cake in oven preparation. We begin with the curd, which is taken in a container. Here it would be important to point out that the curd should be fresh and not sour.

 

  • Now oil is mixed with the curd and beaten nicely to get a smooth mixture.

 

  • In the meantime, baking powder and baking soda is mixed with the flour and passed through a sieve to get a uniform mixture.

 

  • The sugar is mixed with the curd mixture and beaten till the sugar almost gets dissolved in the curd mixture.

 

  • One important thing to emphasize here would be to ensure that beating (for mixing the components) should be always in the same direction, either clockwise or anticlockwise. This direction of beating is maintained until the cake mixture is put in the oven for baking.

 

  • The flour is slowly added in curd mixture and mixed gently in the same direction. Next condensed milk and liquid milk are added to it and mixed properly. Vanilla essence, raisins (Kismis), or any other dry fruits, according to individual choice (cut into small pieces) are mixed with the curd mixture and beaten nicely till it becomes a homogeneous smooth paste.

  • The cake container is greased with little oil by the help of a brush. Next, the greased portion of cake container is dusted with dry flour and the container is inverted so that extra flour adherent to the container falls off and is removed. This part of the procedure is done to ensure that the materials used for cake preparation do not become adherent to the walls of the cake container, at the time of baking.

 

  • Now the mixture for cake preparation is transferred to a cake container and put in a preheated oven. The baking procedure is continued for 30 minutes in 180-degree centigrade.

 

  • After 30 minutes the oven is opened and a toothpick or a clean needle is pricked into the cake. Next, it is taken out and inspected. If no cake material is adherent to the needle, that means that the baking procedure is completed and the cake is ready. If it is not yet ready, it is again put in the oven and baking continued for another 5 minutes. Later the cake is taken out. It should be ready by now.

 

  • The cake is allowed to cool in room temperature. Next, the cake is transferred to a plate, by inverting the container in which the cake was prepared over a plate. The newly prepared cake can be cut into small pieces of the desired size. Now it is ready for serving.
