2) Butter – 1 teaspoon
3) Garam Masala Powder – ½ teaspoon
4) Coriander Powder – ½ teaspoon
5) Kashmiri Chilli powder – 1/4th teaspoon
6) Salt – 1/4th teaspoon
7) Fresh Cream – 10 grams
8) Honey – 10 grams
9) Sugar – As per personal requirement
10) Kasuri Methi (Dried Fenugreek leaves) powder – 1/4th teaspoon
11) Bay leaves – 2 in number
12) Coriander Leaves – 1 tablespoon (finely chopped for garnishing)

1) Fresh Juicy Tomato – 3 medium-sized (Chopped)
2) Cashew (Kaju) – 18 to 20 pieces
3) Cloves – 4 in number
4) Black Pepper – 5 to 6 in number
5) Black Cardamom – 2 in number (Large sized)
6) Green Cardamom – 4 in number
7) Garlic – 7 to 8 in number finely chopped
8) Butter – 1 teaspoon (Preferably Amul Butter)
9) Water – 1/4th cup

The Procedure of How to Make Paneer Butter Masala at Home
Before we go into details of the recipe for making Paneer Butter Masala at home, it would be useful to first inform our readers of some simple tips, which would provide the best results after the preparation.
A) Tips for Making Recipe of Paneer Butter Masala Easier & Tastier

Butter is the most important ingredient in the Paneer Butter Masala Recipe, which brings the desired taste and texture of this dish. In the Indian context, Amul butter does a good job of bringing out the best in taste.

Paneer used in the recipe for Paneer Butter Masala should be preferably fresh and homemade so that its consistency does not become hard. If the Paneer is purchased from the market then the Paneer should be kept dipped in hot water for at least 15 to 20 minutes, so that it gets softened. After the stipulated time the excess water is drained out & then the Paneer can be used accordingly.

The tomatoes which are used for preparing the sauce, should not be sour or unripe but it should be juicy.

The first step of preparation in Paneer Butter Masala Recipe is the preparation of the sauce.

For the preparation of sauce first, a non-stick pan is put on a low flame burner. Then 1 teaspoon Amul butter is put on it and it is allowed to melt away slowly with the gradual warming of the pan.

Next cloves, black pepper, black cardamom & green cardamom are added to the pan and sautéed, till a fragrant aroma starts to come out.

Next chopped Garlic and Tomato are added to the mixture and stirring continued till tomatoes get softened. Next 1/4th cup of water is added to the pan and the mixture allowed to boil for 3 to 4 minutes.

Later the burner is switched off and the contents allowed to cool in room temperature. Once the mixture gets cooled, then the components are transferred to a grinder and ground till a fine sauce is obtained.

C) Grinding of Cashew

Before going on further with the recipe of Paneer Butter Masala, the cashew mentioned previously should be turned into a paste, by using a grinder.

For this purpose, the Cashew is first dipped in 4 tablespoons of hot water for 20 minutes. Then the contents shifted to a grinder, where it is changed into a paste form.

D) Final Steps of Paneer Butter Masala Recipe

The Paneer taken for preparation is cut into 1-inch long cubes.

A non-stick pan is put on a low flamed burner. 1 teaspoon butter is put on it. Once the butter gets dissolved then Bay leaves & coriander powder is added to it. The mixture is sautéed for 1 minute.

The sauce previously prepared is now added to the mixture on the pan and it is allowed to boil with salt & Kashmiri Chilli powder, till it becomes a little thick in consistency.

Next honey, garam masala powder & Cashew paste, Paneer cubes are added to previous preparation and boiled for a few minutes.

Sugar may be added if required based on an individual’s personal choice of taste. As Honey has been already added previously, giving sweet taste to the preparation, adding sugar is a personal choice. After the sugar has been added, then the burner is switched off after a minute.
